Unfortunately today she's had to temporarily suspend her eating again ... The fluid in the drainage bag hasn't decreased enough, so she is getting a stent placed today. (Sorry for the graphic picture, but it might help you understand the problem better.)

It's a pretty simple procedure but requires anesthesia, so she needs an empty stomach. A stent will be placed between her kidney and bladder to create an easier path for urine to exit. This will hopefully stop the leak from her kidney, and they'll be able to remove that drainage tube soon. She will have to have the stent removed in a few weeks (Dr. Ehrlich will help us find a doctor at Doernbecher to do it).
