Today was an easy day at the hospital. Eila was taken off IV fluids but her output is still being closely monitored (her catheter and the bag over her penrose drain). Otherwise things are going well and it is nice to have days like this: she is clearly not in any pain, she is able to get up and do things, she is in good spirits. Unfortunately her urine leak isn't healing as quickly as was hoped, and the doctors would like to give it more time. So we have no set timeline right now, just taking things day by day. Which means we'll keep visiting the activity room and working on more painting projects. Here's the collection that Eila's amassed so far.
I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I had not idea she loved painting so much, but am very happy that the oncology activity room has so many options for her.
