Cee-Row?

That's how Annikka says "cereal."

Until recently, Annikka has been strapped into her high chair during mealtime. But that was before Mom thoughtfully purchased a new table and chairs just for Annikka. Here's a disgustingly cute photo session from a recent morning over a bowl of honey bunches of oats:

How does she learn this stuff?

Annikka started reading, and it has left us wondering who she is imitating...

Joel here. We seriously want to know who (a) has access to Annikka, (b) takes time out of his or her day to read to Annikka, and (c) reads like a MORON.

Definitely not me. Yes, I know that I'm the one who reads to her before bed, but I can, you know, ENUNCIATE. I'm at a loss.

Adventures with playdough

From February 2009

Our first adventures with playdough during the December snow days were not that successful. Annikka just poked at it and wanted Mom to shape it into something. But she has started to learn that she can make things, too, so we got some cute pictures today to pass along.

She has also recently discovered dunking graham crackers in milk. Yummy.

It's all about exposure.

As most of you already know, Dana and I hired an agent to manage Annikka's career. We're counting on Annikka to pay for our retirement her college by becoming some (any) sort of celebrity. Worst case scenario, I figure I can pull a Jamie Spears and be Annikka's conservator after she reaches the age of majority.

So anyway, Annikka got her first gig (click on "Wedding Party"). It doesn't pay (or does it?), but you know, it gets her face out there.

Congrats, Lori and Dan!

A bedtime song

As we've mentioned before, music is a really big part of Annikka's life these days. She has started singing songs for us, typically ones of her own creation. Here she is on her changing table before bed.

The YEAH lets you know you've reached the end of the song.
