Back from our mountain vacation, Annikka and I went to get the studded tires off the car.  While waiting around, Annikka started reading magazines and I suddenly felt like I got a glimpse of my future teenager!

Spring break fun

We had such unbelievably nice weather while on Spring Break.  It was so nice to get out and play.

Second ski day

We decided to make it a true skiing vacation and got the girls right back out there the next day (again, very sunny & warm).  Eila took another lesson in the morning.

And Annikka got to spend the day skiing with her friend Maddie.  It was so great to see the two of them out there!

After lunch I was able to get some video of the last runs down Carousel, including Joel helping Eila to see what skiing could really feel like!



They had a great time and can't wait to go back.

Eila's first ski lesson

We went to SunRiver for Spring Break, and Eila got to take her first ski lesson!

The weather was incredibly warm and sunny, probably the prefect introduction for her.



There wasn't much snow in Oregon last winter so Annikka missed out on the ski season.  And it hasn't been much better so far this year, but luckily she was finally able to get out there again.

Run to Get Lucky

Annikka and I did the St. Patrick's Day Run to Get Lucky downtown today.  I ran the 5K (my first for 2015) and then we ran the kids' 1K together.  At first Annikka wasn't glad she was there, but luckily  her attitude completely versed about 15 minutes before the race and she got excited.  When we started running she told me that she couldn't stop smiling.

Eila was a real trooper just standing around in the wet weather for 2 hours! She says she'll run it too next year.

Audition

Annikka "auditioned" for the Heart of the Valley Children's Choir today.  Luckily all interested kids can join the beginning choirs.  She had to sing Row, Row, Row Your Boat, Happy Birthday, and some scales.  She has been a singer all her life, so hopefully she'll really enjoy being a part of a choir (now that she's finally old enough to join).

Eila's promotion

Eila is now in level 5 in swimming lessons, meaning she caught up to Annikka while she had to take a break with her broken arm.
