And today has started our waiting days: waiting for her to recover from surgery so we can go home; waiting for pathology to provide more answers; waiting to learn what's ahead of us.

Recovery day
Although Eila had a busy night - lots of vitals checks, a blood transfusion, etc. - there isn't much to report for today. The doctor visits and tests all seem to indicate that she is recovering well from her surgery. Overall it's been a fairly quiet day spent reading books, snuggling, napping, and watching a little football. Annikka, Grandma, and Grandpa also came by to see her.

For those of us stuck so far away from Eila, that's exactly the picture I think we wanted to see! Nice to hear that the doctors are comfortable with the progress. I'm sure it is still tough on you and Joel, but we all keep praying that things are on track. Eila looks very comfy in your pic and laying around reading stories and snuggling sounds liek a great day! Love you! hei hei!
So happy to see Annikka got to visit with grandma and grandpa. We are all thinking of you and your family and hope you get to go home soon.
