The port kind of creeps me out - it sticks out about a half inch from her chest and it delivers the drugs so much closer to her heart. However, it made her blood draw and chemo much easier than a traditional IV.

I realize Eila doesn't look happy about using the port, but it really was better. For her, the downfall is that the nurse has to be right in her face for a minute, but it was so simple and quick getting the needle in.

Next week's appointment is the first time she'll get both drugs, so hopefully that will also go well.
