We also went to a cute little beach near the rental house that had several large stones to climb on.
Climbing on rocks brought the silly out of Eila.
Annikka's big enough to also try jumping off.
The water was just as cool, but everyone (except Ruthie) was happy to play in it.
Playing in the sand was a lot of fun, too.
Annikka made towers and motes with Joel.
We also explored the lake on a paddle boat cruise.
For some reason one of the "attractions" on the boat was a Mark Twain impersonator. This brought out Annikka's love of all things mascot and she wanted her picture taken with him (although she has no idea who Mark Twain is).
On our last day of vacation, we celebrated Eila and Ruthie's birthdays with special cakes decoated by Grandpa. Eila's has Oliver, her constant companion.
Ruthie's has an owl - she may have been slightly more interested in her bowl and spoon.
And here's my best attempt at capturing the three little cousins, but as you may have guessed there are lots more pictures in the web album for your viewing pleasure.
