Manhattan - part I

We started our trip to New York with a flight to Boston,

that we shared with the Portland Timbers (MLS soccer team).

Any one know who these guys are? (A little internet searching leads me to believe they are Kenny Cooper, James Marcelin, & Peter Lowry.) But what good sports they were to pose with our daughter.

Every adventure began and ended with a subway ride.

The first day was rainy, so we visited the Children's Museum of Manhattan.

And we saw Time Square that night - one benefit of keeping your kids on Pacific time is that you can keep more of a New York schedule.

Saturday was a beautiful day and we spent the "morning" in a neighborhood park (we rented an apartment in Manhattan, just 3 blocks from the Empire State building).

Then, while Eila and Joel napped, Annikka and I got our nails done on Madison Ave.

It was her first time getting her nails painted (purple, of course), and she felt SO special.

That night everyone had a great time at Hanne and Jack's wedding.
