Kindergarten has a "gentle start" in our town, which means they start the week after the older kids start and they have a staggered start. So today Eila got to go test out kindergarten with half of the kids from her class. She was very excited and so were we. There was a time this spring when we weren't sure if she would be able to do this, so it was great to get to walk her in today.
She walked right across the room, hung up her backpack, found her name card, marked her lunch choice, and sat down. No problems here. We gave her hugs and kisses, and walked out the door without any drama -- I admit, there were a few tears the night before.
The girls are so happy to be together in the same school.
