Snow Day

From Jan/Feb2012

When we moved to Oregon, we were told that we'd get snow every 5 years or so. Well, we've probably had at least one snow day each winter. Today was this winter's first snow day (they are forecasting more for tomorrow), and it was Joel's first opportunity to experience a snow day - he's always been the parent who still goes into work when school is closed for snow. We all had a fun morning sledding down our road.

Eila wasn't a fan of sledding, although we got her to try it at least. Annikka knows it's a lot of fun, and went down over and over again.

Eila was very interested in the snow, how it covered everything, and how she could knock it down from the bushes.

Annikka showed Eila how fun it is to eat the snow from the bushes, while Joel worked on building a snowman.

It was a fun morning, and maybe we'll be doing it all over again tomorrow. Good thing we finally bought a sled.
