The second half of our Christmas holiday was in Columbus, Ohio, and it offered many firsts for Eila. Because our flights left Portland very early in the morning, we spent the night before in a hotel, providing Eila her first swimming experience.
Annikka loves swimming and it was no surprise that our water baby loved it, too. Clearly it’s time to get her signed up for a swim class.
Another first for Eila, her first flight. To add extra craziness to our holiday, we took separate flights to Ohio – Joel and Annikka were together, and Eila and I were together. Joel and Annikka’s flight from Minneapolis to Columbus was canceled, so they got an unexpected visit with the Tappes, too!

We had a wonderful, relaxing visit with everyone. The girls got in a lot of play time, and more gift opening of course.
