Annikka and I went to Columbus last weekend to visit my family there and go to Kristin's baby shower (Annikka's newest cousin will be here in May). We had a great visit, although it took an unexpected turn as you learned about in the previous post. Here are some pre-break photos:
Annikka, Papa, "Arno", and Mommy went to Cosi (the Columbus Children's Science Museum). Annikka really enjoyed the frog exhibit.
She and Arno got wet in the Ocean exhibit:
But her favorite part was their play park.
That night Annikka helped decorate for the baby shower.
Unfortunately, Annikka missed out on the shower because we had to go to the doctor. She has a "toddler's fracture". It is not in her growth plate, so there should be no long lasting impact. But because toddlers (or in her case, wobblers) are so active, she has to have a full cast on her tiny leg.
She did not enjoy getting the cast put on, but she enjoyed the cake she got when she came home from the clinic.
Although she misses running around, she has adjusted to her cast remarkably fast. We have seen an orthopedic specialist now for more x-rays and found out that she might have it off in as little as 4 weeks. And the cast didn't slow us down too much. We still were able to see downtown Columbus with Uncle Jake.
And she got some extra lap time with everyone.

Thank you so much for coming to Ohio! The pics and video are awesome! Annikka is beautiful and we miss her already! Can't wait to see her again in a couple months!
