Fun in the Snow

Out here in the Willamette Valley, there's not much snow. So if you want your kid to ski, you've first got to introduce them to the white stuff. This past weekend Annikka and I went up to Hoodoo Ski Area to sled. We went up with Annikka's friend Mika, and my friend (Mika's dad) Jillian.

Our goal was to let the kids play around in the snow, see what it's about, and watch people ski. Get 'em acclimated.

So, after a two hour drive (!), we managed to get in about an hour's worth of sledding.

Yeah, the pictures suck. But everyone had a good time, and no one freaked out.

THIS weekend we're headed over to Sun River to try to ski at Mt. Bachelor. We'll let you know how it goes.
